Pets – whether you name them Rover, Spot or Whiskers, they’re without a doubt valuable members of our family. So it’s heartbreaking when one gets loose! So we decided to find some ultramodern devices to help you keep track of them, on the Tech List.

1. Pawscout Smarter Pet Tag

One in three pets will get lost in their lifetime. And when it comes down to relocating them, we haven’t innovated much beyond the “lost pet” poster – until now! Pawscout is an electronic tag and app that connects all Pawscout users within a 300-foot range. It will alert users in the area as soon as your pet goes missing. When your pet comes in the range of anyone with a Pawscout app, you’ll be notified.

In the app, you can store your pet’s medical records, contact information and any behavioral issues, which are available to other Pawscout users. Set up a virtual leash and receive notifications if your pet strays from your yard, park, or other outdoor spot. The Pawscout Smarter Pet Tag will run you about $20 and has no monthly fees.

2. Digi-Pet Cargo Travel App

As air travel continues to become more personalized and convenient for passengers, travelers increasingly want to bring their pets with them. The Digi-Pet Mobile App lets customers book cargo travel for their pet with the airline. It suggests the right kennel type for their pets and offers service options like special meals and temperature alerts. And if you’re not traveling with your pet, owners can communicate with airline staff at any time. You can learn more about the app here.

3. Garmin Delta Inbounds E-Collar

The E-Collar works with the base station to create an invisible fence with a radius of 150 feet. Tones, mild electronic stimulation, and a little training will teach your dogs to know where the boundaries are. That will allow your dogs to be aware of certain areas, and know where they’re not allowed to go. The price for the Delta Inbounds starts at around $400.

Pets are not our whole lives, but they do make our lives whole. So check out this complete list of tech to help you take even better care of your furry friends.
