Across AmericaGrab a sweater and a camera, ‘cause we’re scoping out some of the amazing colors that usher in the fall season as we go leaf peeping across the U.S.
1. Aspen, Colorado
We’re kicking off our list of pretty leaf peeping destinations in Aspen, Colorado. Here you can breathe in some brisk, fresh air while taking in the beauty of the fall colors set against a backdrop of snowcapped mountains. Shop, dine and experience it all! And on your way out, don’t forget to visit the nearby Maroon Bells – two of the most photographed mountains in all of North America.
2. Michigan’s Upper Peninsula
Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is our next place for a leaf peeping promenade. Get engulfed in beauty by this densely forested peninsula bordering three Great Lakes. You can take it all in by hiking through one of the Upper Peninsula’s more than 20 state parks during the day and stargazing the dark skies at night.
3. Shenandoah National Park, Virginia
Our final leaf peeping stop takes us to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. Here you can enjoy the spruce, oak and hickory trees’ beautiful colors as you try and spot the wildlife. Oh! And it may get chilly, but don’t worry because you can keep warm and still see it all by driving the 105-mile skyline drive that winds through the entire park.
