Looking for July deals, discounts, sales and free food? We spoke with Janice Lieberman from DealNews.com, who shared some of the month’s sweetest savings. We also rounded up the best freebies to look out for. So keep an eye out, and take advantage of these July deals.

 

1. Carraba’s Italian Grill

 

Let’s kick off our list with some free food! Through July 1, Carabba’s is giving away a free lasagna when you order their Chicken Bryan, Chicken Marsala, Pollo Rosa Maria, or Chicken Trio. Click here to find a location near you.

 

2. Amazon Prime Day

 

Amazon Prime Day marks one our of favorite days for July sales! Don’t have a membership? There’s a free trial! Some things are on sale for the whole event, while “lightning deals” can last just a few minutes. So if you have your eye on an item, use the Amazon app to set up an alert. These sales can last only about thirty hours, and fall on different days each year. In the past, it’s been the second Tuesday of July, but TechRadar screen grabbed an Amazon banner posted in error – and since removed! – that says it’ll be on the 16th and 17th this year.

 

“It promises to be a very big shopping day, not necessarily a great sale day,” says Janice. Meaning there are a lot of filler deals that are okay, but not the best prices you’ll see. “What you can find are Kindles on sale. Also, if you want to upgrade an Alexa, that’s a good time to buy one,” she adds.

 

In addition to Amazon’s own devices, categories to watch include toys, smart home devices – and some pretty good prices on TVs if you don’t want to wait until next year’s Super Bowl sales.

 

3. Dairy Queen

 

Free food alert! Download Dairy Queen’s and receive a small blizzard on the house when you register for an account. Snag the app on iTunes or Google Play.

 

4. House Paint

 

Next, retailers are betting it’s too hot to climb that ladder, so they’re putting exterior house paint on sale. So pick up some great pails of paint for up to 40% off on selected colors at Sherwin Williams or Lowe’s. Lowe’s will feature “buy one, get one” deals, and participating Sherwin Williams will knock up to 40% off collections. If you love home improvement, this is one of the best July Sales for you!

 

5. Free Food from Chili’s

 

Chili’s is offering free chips and salsa or a non-alcoholic beverage every time you visit. All you have to do to redeem this perk is download their app and become a rewards member! Gotta love free food!

 

6. Christmas in July

 

Next, do you believe in Christmas in July? Janice says it’s a good time to buy Christmas decor at places like Home Depot. You can find discounts on decorations of up to 75% off. And while you might think of Lenox for crystal, check out July sales on their holiday bling. Janice says jewelry will go on sale by Lenox, their Christmas line, up to forty percent!

 

7. Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A

 

Ever heard of Cow Appreciation Day? Nor have we until now! On July 10, Chick-fil-A is offering a free entrée to customers who show up dressed as a cow. If you’d do just about anything for free food, this deal is for you! Click here for details.

 

8. Steam Summer Sale

 

Yup, there are also July sales for you PC gamers out there. So check out the Steam sale which is going on now through July 5. Older titles will be as low as 75% off, and newer ones 20% off.

 

9. Wendy’s

 

More free food! Get a free Dave’s Single burger from Wendy’s when you sign up as a rewards member.

11. What Not to Buy in July

 

Finally, what not to buy in July? Keep on waiting to buy that laptop until August. And stick with that old grill just a couple months longer. Janice says we’ll see sales in September and October, so now is NOT the time to guy a new grill.

 

12. Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven

 

On July 11, 7-Eleven will celebrate its 91st birthday by handing out free small Slurpees at participating locations. The convenience store chain anticipates handing out about nine million free Slurpees nationwide. Click here to find a location near you.
