Looking for June deals, discounts, sales and freebies? We spoke with Janice Lieberman from DealNews.com who shared some of June's sweetest savings. We also rounded up the best freebies to look out for this month. So keep an eye out and take advantage of these nine deals and freebies!

1. Free Donuts

National Donut Day falls on June 1st, when many donut shops and retailers are handing out free donuts to celebrate. Participating stores include Dunkin’ Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Walmart, and much more! Don’t miss our article on 17 places giving away free donuts.

2. Father's Day Deals

Wondering what to get dad this Father's Day? You have to be a little bit creative, because, unfortunately, tools are not on sale. Even barbecue equipment is not a great time to buy now. But some of the best deals available include restaurant coupons on Groupon.com and on Restraurant.com. You can also find magazines like Men's Health for as low as $4 a year this month. Kindle will also offer great deals.

3. Birthday Freebies

Got a birthday in June? WRAL-TV reports (via HeyItsFree.net) that a slew of stores and restaurants are handing out freebies if you’re a June baby. Our favorite freebies include a free shake from Arby’s with purchase; a free scoop of ice cream or soft serve from Baskin Robbins; and free Rooty Tooty Fresh N Fruity pancakes from IHOP. Check our WRAL-TV’s article for details.

4. Newlywed Deals

June is the peak of wedding season, and those newlyweds will need some new presents. Macy's always has amazing deals on dinnerware. Last year, we saw Kate Spade dishes for as low as $9 each.

5. Free Burgers for Teachers

If you’re a school teacher, counselor, admin, retired teacher, or school bus driver – Red Robin wants to give you a free burger! On Tuesday, June 5, the burger chain is giving out free Tavern Double Burgers and Bottomless Steak Fries to scholastic staff members. To take advantage of this freebie, all you have to do is show a valid school ID. Educators get their pick of five different burgers – including the Cowboy Ranch Tavern Double and the Taco Tavern Double.

6. Cheap Movies

Wondering how you'll keep your kids entertained during the summer for less? Consider taking a look at your local theaters. Second-run movies will be $1 at many movie houses, including Regal, Edwards and United Artists. They're all participating in their Summer Movie Express Program, and will be running family-friendly movies for $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Local show times vary, so make sure you check the schedule.

7. Free Chipotle Food for Nurses

Chipotle is showing their love for nursing professionals in a big way. On June 5, the eatery is offering nurses a “buy one, get one free” deal on burritos, burrito bowls, salads or tacos, reports FoodAndWine.com. If you’re an RN, NP, CRNA, CAN, CNM, LVN, or CAN – snagging this deal is easy! Simply show your nursing license or nursing ID, and enjoy some grub in your scrubs.

8. Gym Memberships

Now, how about spending a little money on ourselves with a gym membership? Most of us are outside enjoying the beautiful weather, and that's when gyms see a dip in visits. Deals on gym memberships won't be advertised, so you'll have to go in and strike your own deal. It's a great time to go negotiate a cheaper gym deal for the rest of the year. If they won't lower the price, ask for one month free.

9. What NOT to buy in June

June is not the month to buy a laptop, but back to school promises to have big deals on all kids of computers. So, it's a good idea to wait closer to August. And if you can, hold off on the summer clothes. Next month will be deeper discounts, and August promises clearance prices.
