Spring cleaning at home also means brainstorming on new ideas to revamp your space. You may be considering a new wall color or new furniture but making up your mind is hard. What if there were a way to make home redesign easier? Welp, it turns out there is! Here’s a list of four apps to make DIY projects easier.

1. Dulux Visualizer

If you want a preview of what that new wall color will look like in your space, then the Dulux Visualizer is for you. Painting any wall is a major commitment, but this free app helps you take the stress out of picking out the perfect palette. All you have to do is take a picture of your wall or the whole room, tap your finger on the wall, and you’ll be able to see how it will look with any new color.

There are nearly 1,800 colors to choose from, and the app makes it easy to save the picture and share your color choices with friends to get a second opinion.

2. The Home Depot App

Imagine taking out your smart phone, pointing it at your current front door, and seeing what a new door would look like in its place. Now you can using the Home Depot App. It allows you to use virtual reality to see which faucets, cabinets, and even patio furniture would look like around your home.

From there, you can head to Home Depot and scan the barcode for details about the product and reviews. Just to make sure it’s the one you want!

3. Houzz

Our third app, Houzz, is for any DIY-er looking for inspiration. It has millions of photos which you can browse for inspiration and see the best designs from around the world or in your neighborhood. You can save all the designs you love in idea books, and even design an entire room from scratch. And as you get inspired, you can shop for products and connect with professionals in your area.

4. Amazon’s AR View

We already use Amazon to order so much of our everyday essentials, but now you can see how many of those items will look before you buy them. And it’s not just for your furniture, you can even see other items like pots, pans — or even Alexa!

Spring cleaning doesn’t have to be dusting and scrubbing, it can also mean starting from scratch with a blast of color or design in your home! Luckily, these apps are here to make the job easier.
